Tyne Parlett

Background

Mx. Parlett is a research assistant and local community member. As a community-based representative, they help ensure the team’s research remains grounded within community experiences. With their 20+ years working in social services they understand the impact of oppression, erasure, community resource drought, and poverty. Their work in the clinical mental health space, death and dying, and as a facilitator are informed by their passion for discovery, curiosity, restoration, and change. They ground their work in the tenet of: We contain wisdom in the stories of our lives. Sharing these stories creates liberation.
